Instructor – Cindi Miles
Cindi Miles brings 25 years of claims management experience with an emphasis in Catastrophe management, Fraud Investigation and Vendor management. Her expertise has been in the Property claims, with experience in Auto and Casualty aspects of claims handling.
Having been a trainer for 25 years in all facets of property claims, she continues to train even after retiring from Shelter Insurance. She presently is a Continuing Education Provider for the Oklahoma Insurance Dept., as well as an instructor with Francis Tuttle Vo-Tech. Cindi has been a mediator for the Oklahoma Alternative Dispute Resolution System for the last two years as well.
As a Property Specialist for Shelter Insurance Companies, a Super Regional Property & Casualty Carrier, Cindi’s focus was in bringing new technology to the company and developing processes and proving the Return on Investment for the implementation of those technologies. As a trainer for the company Cindi has been instrumental in developing the property claims training track used by the company today. As a Catastrophe Manager for over 23 years she has been deployed to almost every Cat event in the Midwest, Colorado and Louisiana.
She has previously served on the board of the Oklahoma chapters of the IAAI and AISIU. She is also a member of the American Agri-Women organization and an advocate for Habitat for Humanity.
Cindi is a Graduate of the University of Florida with a Degree in Criminal Justice. She holds the designation of the Fraud Claim Law Specialist from the American Educational Institute as well as her Associate in Insurance Claims Degree.
